هي تصور اٽليءَ جي هڪ ننڍي رياست ۾ پيدا ٿيل، باصلاحيت سياسي ماهر، سفارتڪار، صلاحڪار، ۽ جڳ مشهور ليکڪ ’نڪولو ميڪياوليءَ‘ (Nicolo Machiavelli) سان لاڳاپيل آهي. جنهن ’شهزادو‘ (The Prince) جي عنوان سان حُڪومتي وهنوار هلائڻ لاءِ هڪ زبردست ڪتاب لکيو ۽ ٻيو به گهڻو تحقيقي ڪم ڪيو. لفظ Machiavellian سورهين صدي عيسويءَ جي آخر ۾ تمام گهڻو مشهور ٿيو. جڏهن ته اصطلاح طور ”ميڪياويليت“ 1626ع کان متعارف ٿيو. هي لفظ جديد نفسيات ۾ به ساڳئي مقصد لاءِ استعمال ڪيو وڃي ٿو. رياستي سرشتي جي حوالي سان ”ميڪاويليت“ ٺڳڻ واري منصوبه بندي ۽ سوچيل سمجهيل دوکي تي بيٺل هڪ نظريو آهي. اهو نظريو سياسي فائدو ماڻڻ لاءِ هرقسم جي روايتي اخلاقيات کي اورانگهڻ ۽ مخالفن جو جڻ ٻچو ناس ڪرڻ جي حمايت ۽ وڪالت ڪري ٿو
