ڪنھن به جسماني يا نفسياتي عمل جي مزاحمت. رت نلين جون ڀتيون رت جي وھڪري خلاف دٻاءُ لڳائين ٿيون ته رت جو دٻاءُ وڌي وڃي ٿو. سائيڪوانالسس (psychoanalysis) ۾ يادگيرن يا جذبات کي شعور کان روڪڻ مزاحمت ٿئي ٿي. مزاحمت مان مراد جسم جو زھرن، سوزشي مادن يا خوردبيني روڳي جيوڙن جي انفيڪشن لاءِ مزاحمت کي اِميونٽي (immunity) سڏجي ٿو. ڊرگ ريزسٽنس (drg resistance، دوا لاءِ مزاحمت) اصطلاح مان مراد ڪن خوردبيني روڳي جاندارن جي اھا قابليت ٿئي ٿي ته اھي ڪنھن اڳوڻي اثرائتي علاج (دوائن) لاءِ مزاحمت رکندڙ ٿين ٿا.
