ھيئَر
ھڪ ڌاڳي جھڙي بناوت جيڪا مردار سيلن جن ۾ تاندوري پروٽين ڪِيريٽن (keratin) ٿئي جڙيل ٿئي ٿي. ھر وار جي پاڙ، چمڙيءَ جي ڊرمس (dermis) تھه جي ھڪ ننڍڙي چگهه ھيئر فولائيڪل (hair follicle) ۾ کتل ھجي ٿي. وار جي ھر ڏانڊي ھڪ اسفنجي نيم ڍانڍي ڪور (the medulla)، ان جي چوگرد ھڪ ڊگهي، سنھي فائبرس (the cortex) ۽ ٻاھران ڪيترن ھڪٻئي تي وريل سيلن جي تھن (the cuticle) ٿئي ٿو. جڏھن ڪو وار واڌ ڪندڙ ھجي ٿو ته ان جي پاڙ ھڪ ٽشوءَ ۾ ويڙھيل ھجي ٿي جنھن کي بلب (bulb) چئجي ٿو جيڪو وار کي ڪيريٽن مھيا ڪري ٿو. وار جي واڌ بند ڪرڻ سان، بلب پاڙ کان واپس ٿي ته آخر ۾ ڇڻي پوي ٿو. وارن جو ڪم جسم جو گرمي پد قائم رکڻ (thermoregulation) ٿئي ٿو. جڏھن جسم گهڻو سرد ٿي وڃي ٿو ته چمڙيءَ جون اِريڪٽر پِلي (arrector pili) مشڪون، وارن کي ڇڪي اڀو ڪري ڪانڊار پيدا ڪن ٿيون. اڀا ٿي ويل وار چمڙيءَ سان لڳ واري انسوليٽنگ تھه کي سوگهو/ ٽريپ ڪري ڇڏين ٿا.
