ويٽ لاس سرجريءَ کي بيريئيٽرڪ سرجري (bariatric surgery) به سڏجي انھن فردن لاءِ استعمال ڪجي ٿي جيڪي گهڻا وزندار ٿين ٿا. عام طور تي انھن فردن جي سرجري ڪرڻ جي سفارش ڪجي ٿي جن جي ٿولهه سندن سنگين طرح سان صحت لاءِ خطرناڪ ٿئي ٿي ۽ اھي فرد جن لاءِ وزن گهٽائڻ (weight reduction) جا ٻيا طريقا موثر ثابت ٿي نٿا سگهن. وزن گهٽائڻ جي سرجريءَ جا مختلف طريقا ٿين ٿا پر گهڻا عام گئسٽرڪ بئنڊنگ (gastric banding) ۽ گئسٽرڪ بائپاس (gastric bypass) ٿين ٿا. جڏھن ته ھاڻ وائرنگ آف جا (wiring of the jaws) وارو طريقو گهڻو استعمال نٿو ڪجي.
