مادي جنمي سرشتي جو اھو ڍانڍو، مشڪائون عضوو جنھن ۾ عام طور تي نريل آنو (ovum) لڳي/ پيوند ٿي ڳڀ (embryo) ۽ ابھم (fetus ) جي صورت ۾ نسري ٿو. ڳڀيرڻ کي عام طور تي رحم (womb) سڏجي ٿو جيڪو نھائين جي خال ۾ مثاني جي پٺيان ۽ آنڊن جي اڳيان ٿئي ٿو. غير حامله عورتن ۾ ڳڀيرڻ 7.5 ـ 10 س.م ڊگهي، وزن ۾ 60 کان 90 گرام، ھيٺيون حصو گرڀ ناليءَ ۾ ڳھڻ (cervix) وٽ ته مٿيون حصو فيلوپين نلين (fallopian tubes) ۾ کلي ٿو. ڳڀيرڻ جو تھه اينڊوميٽريم (endometrium) جو ٿئي ٿو. ڳڀيرڻ حمل دوران سائيز ۾ واڌ ڪندي رھي ٿي ته جيئن واڌ ڪندڙ ابھم کي ٿانيڪو ڪري سگهي. حمل جي پورن ڏينھن ۾ ڳڀيرڻ جون طاقتور مشڪون ابھم کي گرڀ ناليءَ رستي ڌڪي ٻاھر ڪن ٿيون (ڏسو، childbirth). عورت جي سنڍجڻ کانپوءِ اينڊوميٽريم اَڀري ٿي (سنھڙي ٿي وڃي ٿي) ۽ ڳڀيرڻ جي مشڪ ۽ ڪنيڪٽو (connective) ٽشو سوسِ کائي وڃن ٿا. ڳڀيرڻ کي متاثر ڪندڙ حالتن ۾ پيدائشي نقص جھڙوڪ: ڳڀيرڻ جو پورو نه جڙڻ يا وجود نه ھجڻ، ڳوڙھيون جن ۾ نڪرا (polyps)، فائبُروائڊن (fibroids) ۽ اينڊوميٽريل جي ڪينسر (ڏسو،uterus, cancer of )، اينڊوميٽرياسس (endometritis) جا انفيڪشن ۽ ھارموني نقص شامل ٿين ٿا (وڌيڪ ڏسو، uterus, prolapse of; uterus, retroverted).
