طبعي جنگ کي عارضي طور بندڪرڻ جو اهڙوعمل، جنهن ذريعي جنگ ۾ ٿيل زخمين ۽ بيمارن کي ميدان مان محفوظ جاءِ تي منتقل ڪري سگهجي يا کين خوراڪ ۽ طبي امداد پهچائي سگهجي. ان کان علاوه مستقل جنگبندي يا تڪرار جي خاتمي لاءِ ورتل ابتدائي ڪوششن جي نتيجي ۾ ٿيل ابتدائي صلح لاءِ به هي اصطلاح استعمال ٿئي ٿو. مُذاڪرات لاءِ ٿيندڙ ان قسم جون ڪوششون ترت نتيجو ڏيندڙ يا بنا نقصان جي به ڪيون وينديون آهن. مثال طور ڪوريائي جنگ (53-1950ع) دوران هڪ پاسي وڙهندڙ ڌُرين ۾ ڳالهيون هلي رهيون هيون، ته ٻئي پاسي لڙائيءَ ۾ ماڻهو مري رهيا هُئا. آمريڪا جا ڳالهين کان اڳ يا پوءِ ايترا فوجي ۾ نه مُئا، جيترا ڳالهين هلندي مُئا. ’عارضي جنگبنديءَ‘ هيٺ ٻن ڌُرين وچ ۾ خوني تڪرار روڪڻ لاءِ عام طور تي ٽين ڌُر کي وچ ۾ پوڻ لاءِ چيو ويندو آهي، جيڪا تڪڙا رابطا ڪري گهربل مُذاڪرات ڪرائيندي آهي. اڄ ڪلهه عام طرح سان گڏيل قومن جي اداري کي اها ذميواري سونپي وڃي ٿي. عرب - اسرائيل تڪرار ۾ گڏيل قومن جو ڪردار ان سلسلي ۾ مثال طور پيش ڪري سگهجي ٿو
