ڇھڻ، ھڪ اھڙي حس ٿئي ٿي جنھن رستي چمڙيءَ جي ڪنھن جسم سان لاڳاپي ۾ اچڻ سان ان جي سائيز، ڊول، گرميءَ، مٿاڇري بناوت جي سڃاڻپ ڪري سگهجي ٿي. اصل ۾ ڇھڻ ڪا ھڪ حس نٿي ٿئي پر ڪيتريون ٿين ٿيون. چمڙيءَ ۾ گرمي، سردي، دٻاءَ، سور، ھلڪي ۽ کھري ڇھاءَ جون ڪيتريون الڳ الڳ سڄي جسم ۾ گهٽ وڌ ھزارين تنتون پکڙيل ٿين ٿيون جنھن سبب ڪي ھنڌ ٿڌ، ڪي سور ته ڪي، گرميءَ يا دٻاءَ جي وڌيڪ موٽ ڏيندڙ ٿين ٿا، چمڙيءَ جون مرڪيلس ڊسڪون (Merkel’s discs) ۽ ميئيسنرس ڪارپسلس (Meissner’s corpuscles) گهرو دٻاءُ ۽ لرزش محسوس ڪن ٿا انھن ھنڌن تان سگنل حسي تنتن رستي مغزي ڏوريءَ رستي مغز جي ٿيليمس (thalamus) کان سينسري ڪارٽيڪس (sensory cortex) ڏانھن موڪليا وڃن ٿا جتي ڇھڻ جون پروڙيون پون ٿيون. اھڙي ھر قسم جي تنت جي رسيونگ اينڊ تي مختلف جوڙجڪ ٿئي ٿي. جسم جا مختلف حصا سور جي محرڪن ۽ ڇھاءَ لاءِ مختلف درجي جا حساس ٿين ٿا جھڙوڪ: اک جي قرنيا (cornea) پير جي تري جي ڀيٽ ۾ سور جي محرڪ لاءِ وڌيڪ حساس ٿئي ٿي (وڌيڪ ڏسو، sensation).
