تري. مُٺ جيترو، اسفنجي، پيٽ جي مٿئين کاٻي ھنڌ تي ھيٺين پاسرين جي پٺيان موجود ھڪ عضوو. اھو رت جا پراڻا ۽ ناقص ڳاڙھا سيل گردش مان خارج ڪري ٿو ۽ روڳ/ انفيڪشن کي منھن ڏيڻ لاءِ اينٽيباڊيون (antibodies)، لمفوسائيٽ (lymphocytes) ۽ فيگوسائيٽ (phagocytes) پيدا ڪرڻ ۾ مدد ڪري ٿو جيڪي حملي آور جيوڙن کي تباه ڪن ٿا. ڪيترين بيمارين ۾ تري وڌي وڃي ٿي جن ۾ مليريا (malaria) ۽ وچڙندڙ مونونيوڪليئوسس (mononucleosis) ٿئي ٿي، رت جي نقصن ۾ ليوڪيميا (leukaemia)، ٿيليسيميا (thalassaemia) ۽ سِڪل سيل اَنيمِيا (sickle cell anaemia) ۽ ڳوڙھيون جھڙوڪ لمفوما (lymphomas) شامل ٿين ٿا. اھو به ممڪن ٿي سگهي ٿو ته تري جي واڌ سان گڏ ھيانچو/ ھائپراسپلينزم (hypersplenism) ٿي پوي ٿي. پيٽ ۾ شديد ڌڪ لڳڻ ڪري تري ڦاٽي پوي جنھن سبب انتھائي موتمار رتھير ٿي سگهي ٿي جنھن لاءِ ھنگامي اسپلينيڪٽومي (splenectomy) ڪرڻي پوي ٿي.
