اوپن ـ ھرٽ ـ سرجري
دل جي ھڪ اھڙي آپريشن جنھن ۾ ان جو ڪم عارضي طور تي بند ڪري اھو ھڪ مشيني پمپ رستي ھلائجي ٿو. اوپن ھرٽ سرجريءَ جي مکيو طريقن ۾ دل جا موروثي نقص (ڏسو، heart disease, congenital)، سوڙھي ٿي ويل يا سمندڙ والن جي آپريشن (ڏسو، heart-valve surgery) ۽ ڪورونري آرٽري بائپاس (ڏسو، coronary artery bypass) ٿئي ٿي. ھڪ ڀيرو پمپ ڳنڍڻ کانپوءِ، دل کولي نقص درست ڪجي ٿو. سرجيڪل ھائپوٿرميا استعمال ڪندي دل کي ٿڌو رکجي ٿو ۽ دل جي مشڪ کي آڪسيجن نه ملڻ سبب ناقص ٿيڻ کان بچائجي ٿو (ڏسو، hypothermia, surgical).
