جنگ جي دؤران هڪ مُلڪ جي آباديءَ جو ڪو حصو ٻئي مُلڪ ۾ هُجي، پر ڪُجهه سببن جي ڪري ٻئي مُلڪ هڪٻئي جا جنگ ۾ مخالف ٿي پون، ته غيرملڪين کي بچائڻ لاءِ ”انٽرنمينٽ“ جو قانون لاڳو هوندو آهي. ان کان علاوه جنگ جي دؤران ڪنهن وڏي انساني گروهه کي به هن اصول تحت بنا مقدمو هلائڻ جي جيل يا نظربنديءَ ۾ رکيو ويندو آهي. هن قانون ۾ اهو به بيان ٿيل آهي ته ڪنهن ملڪ ۾ جيڪڏهن ويڙهه هلندي هجي ته ان کي بند ڪرائڻ لاءِ گرفتاريون ڪرڻ ۽ ماڻهن جي گروه کي مخصوص هنڌ تان لڏپلاڻ ڪرڻ تي مجبور ڪري سگهجي ٿو. 1907ع واري ”هيگ ڪنوينشن“ يا 1949ع واري ”جنگي قيدين ۽ شهرين جي بچاءَ لاءِ جنيوا ڪانفرنس“ (Geneva Conference on Prisoners of War and Protection of Civilizations) ۽ 1986ع واري ”بين الاقوامي ريڊڪراس ڪانفرنس“ جو بُنيادي مقصد جنگي حالتن دوران عام ماڻهن ۽ جنگي قيدين کي Internment جي عمل تحت، حڪومتي تحفظ ۾ وٺڻ ۽ کين وڏن حادثن ۽ اڳرائي پسند قيدين کان بچائڻ هُئو
