ھِڪ.مئن ـ ڪيٿيٽر
پلاسٽڪ جي ھڪ لچڪدار نلي جنھن کي اسڪن ـ ٽَنلِڊ ڪيٿيٽر (skin-tunnelled catheter) نالي سان به سڏجي، ڇاتيءَ مان سب ڪليوين نس (subclavian vein) ۾ وجهجي ٿي جيڪا دل ڏانھن وڃي ٿي. عام طور تي انھن فردن لاءِ به استعمال ڪجي ٿي جن کي ليوڪيميا (leukaemia) يا ٻيون ڪينسر ھجن ٿيون ۽ لاڳيتو ڪيموٿراپي (chemotherapy) ۽ رت جون تپاسون ڪرائڻيون پون ٿيون. ھن ڪيٿيٽر رستي دوائون سڌيون رت جي وھڪري ۾ وڃن ٿيون ۽ رت جا نمونا به سولائيءَ سان ڪڍي سگهجن ٿا. ڪيٿيٽر مقامي ھنڌ کي سُن (anaesthesia) ڪري ھنيو وڃي ٿو. پنھنجيءَ جاءِ تي مھينن تائين رھي سگهي ٿو، جڏھن استعمال ۾ نٿو ھجي ته ان جو ٻاھريون ڇيڙو بند ڪري ڇڏجي ٿو.
