ھارٽ ـ لنگ ـ مشين
ھڪ اھڙي مشين جيڪا تيستائين عارضي طور تي دل (heart) ۽ ڦڦڙن (lungs) جو ڪم سنڀالي جيستائين اوپن ھرٽ سرجريءَ (open heart surgery)، ھرٽ ٽرانسپلانٽس (heart transplants) ۽ ھرٽ ـ لنگ ٽرانسپلانٽ (heart-lung tranplsnt) جي ڪم پورو ڪري سگهجي. ھرٽ ـ لنگ مشين ۾ ھڪ پمپ (جيڪو دل جو ڪم ڪري ٿو) ۽ ھڪ آڪسيجينيٽر (ڦڦڙن جو ڪم ڪندڙ) ٿئي ٿو. جيئن ته اھا مشين دل ۽ ڦڦڙن بجاءِ ڪم ڪري ٿي ان سبب دل کي بيھاري سگهجي ٿو. ھرٽ ـ لنگ مشين جي ڪم ڪرڻ سان رت جا ڳاڙھا سيل تباه ٿين ٿا ۽ رت جا دڳ پيدا ٿي سگهن ٿا. جڏھن ته اھڙن مسئلن کي ھيپرن (heparin) رستي جيڪا دڳ پيدا نه ڪندڙ دوا ٿئي ٿي اڳواٽ ڏيڻ سان وڌ ۾ وڌ گهٽائي سگهجي ٿو.
