دل، سيني ۾ ٿورڙي کاٻي پاسي تي اھو ڍانڍو مشڪائون پمپ جيڪو لاڳيتو تال ۾ ڌڙڪي ڦڦڙن ۽ باقي سڄي جسم ڏانھن رت (blood) موڪلي ٿو. دل جو ھڪ وڏو حصو مايوڪارڊيم (myocardium) جو ٺھيل ٿئي ٿو جيڪا ھڪ مخصوص قسم جي مشڪ ٿئي ٿي. دل جي مشڪ کي ٻن ڪورونري (coronary) شريانن رستي آڪسيجن ۽ غذا ملندي رھي ٿي. دل جو اندريون مٿاڇرو ھڪ ملائم تھه جو ٿئي ٿو جنھن کي اينڊوڪارڊيم (endocardium) سڏجي ٿو ته سڄي دل ھڪ سخت جهليدار پوش، پيريڪارڊيم (pericardium) ۾ ويڙھيل ٿئي ٿي. دل ۾ چار خانا ٿين ٿا. دل جي وچ ۾ موجود ھڪ ٿلهي مشڪائين ڀت؛ سيپٽم (septum) دل جي ڀانڊي کي ساڄي ۽ کاٻي اڌ ۾ ورھائي ٿي. ھر اڌ ۾ ھڪ مٿيون خانو ايٽريم (atrium) ۽ ھڪ ھيٺيون وڏڙو خانو وينٽريڪل (ventricle) ٿئي ٿو.
