تپاسن رستي ٻڌڻ جي سگهه جي چڪاس ڪرڻ. ٻار جي واڌ ويجهه جي عام رواجي تپاسن دوران، جڏھن ٻڌڻ جي نقص جو شڪ ھجي تڏھن ٻڌڻ جي سگهه جي تپاس ڪجي ٿي. ورلي اھي تپاسون صحت جي ٿيندڙ عام تپاسن ۾ شامل ڪجن ٿيون. ٻڌڻ جون تپاسون ٽِنيٽِس (tinnitis) يا غشيءَ جا ڪارڻ لهڻ لاءِ به ڪري سگهجن ٿيون.ھڪ اوزار رستي جنھن کي آڊيوميٽر (audiometer) سڏجي آواز جي مختلف لهرن ۽ واليوم ٻڌي سگهڻ جي جاچ ڪري سگهجي ٿي. ھلڪي ۾ ھڪلو آواز جيڪو ڪو فرد ٻڌي ۽ آواز ورجائي سگهي ٿو تنھن جي جاچ ڪجي ٿي جيڪا صاف آوازن ٻڌڻ جي قابِليت ٿئي ٿي (speech discrimination). ٻوڙائپ (ڏسو، deafness) جي قسم لهڻ لاءِ ڪن جي مختلف حصن ڀرسان ٽيوننگ فورڪ (tuning fork) جهلي فيصلو ڪجي ٿو (وڌيڪ ڏسو، tympanometry).
