اھڙا ماحولياتي عنصر جن لاءِ ڄاڻ ھجي ته اھي بيماريون پيدا ڪن ٿا يا بيمارين پيدا ڪرڻ لاءِ مشڪوڪ ٿي سگهن ٿا. انھن ۾ مکيو قسمن جا ٿين ٿا: وچڙندڙ بيماريون (infectious disease ڏسو، bacteria; fungal infections; insects and disease; viruses; zoonosis)، غذا يا پاڻيءَ جي اڻپوري رسد يا غلاظت (ڏسو، food additives; food borne infection; food poisining)، ڪم ڪار سان لاڳاپيل خطرا (ڏسو، occupational disease and injury)، گهريلو ۽ سماجي زندگيءَ سان لاڳاپيل خطرا، تماڪ ۽ الڪوحل واپرائڻ (tobacco-smoking and alcohol)، عالِمي ماحولياتي خطرا (ڏسو، pollution; radiation hazards; sunlight, adverse effects of).
