ڦنگي (fungi) دنيا جو، ڪو به فرد جيڪو يُوڪيريوٽڪ (Eukaryotic) جاندارن سان واسطو رکي ٿو جن ۾ کنڀيون (mushrooms)، خمير (yeasts)، مولڊ (molds) شامل ٿين ٿا، منجهن ڪلوروفل (chlorophyll) موجود نٿو ٿئي، جندڻيءَ (life cycle) جي ڪنھن مرحلي ۾ سخت سيل وال ٿئي ٿو، پيدائش تخمن (spores) رستي ڪن ٿا. ڦنگي مٽيءَ، ھوا ۽ پاڻيءَ ۾ موجود ٿين ٿا ته انھن جون رڳو ڪي اسپيشيز بيماريون پيدا ڪري سگهن ٿيون. ڦنگي بيمارين ۾ شامل ٿين ٿيون ھسٽوپلاسموسس (Histoplasmosis)، ڪوڪسِيڊيوئڊيومائڪوسس (Coccidioidomycosis)، رنگ ورم (ringworm )، اَٿليٽس فوٽ (Athlete's foot) ۽ ٿرش (thrush). ڦنگي بيماريون آھستي واڌ ڪن ٿيون پر انھن جي تشخيص ڪرڻ ڏکي ٿئي ٿي، علاج لاءِ مزاحمت ٿئي ٿي، سواءِ سسٽيمڪ مائڪوٽڪ (systemic mycotic) روڳن جي ورلي ڪو موتمار ٿين ٿا خاص طور تي جن مريضن جو اِميون سرشتو ڪمزور ٿئي ٿو (ڏسو، opportunistic Mycosis).
