ھڪ قسم جو پيوندي (connective) ٽشو، جيليءَ جھڙي مادي ڪوليجن (collagen) جو ٺھيل ٿئي ٿو. ڪارٽيليج ھڏائين سرشتي جي مختلف حصن جي جوڙجڪ جا اھم حصا جوڙي ٿو جنھن ۾ سنڌ (joints) به شامل ٿين ٿا، جن جا ٽي اھم قسم ٿين ٿا: 1. ھائلائين ڪارٽيليج (hyaline cartilage) سگهارو، لسو ۽ سنڌن جي مٿاڇرن جو استر ٿئي ٿو. 2. فائبرو ڪارٽيليج (fibro cartilage) نھرو، سگهارو ۽ ڪرنگهي جي ھڏين وچ ۾ ڊسڪون ۽ سنڌن جو شاڪ ائبزاربنگ گديون جوڙي ٿو 3. الاسٽڪ ڪارٽيليج (elastic cartilage) نرم، رٻڙائون ٿئي ٿو ۽ ٻاھرين ڪن ۽ اِپيگلاٽس (epiglottis) جون بناوتون جوڙي ٿو.
