باءِ.پاس ـ آپ.ري.شنس
ڪو به اھڙو طريقو جنھن ھيٺ ٻنجيل يا سوڙھي ٿي ويل شريان يا نس يا ھاضمي جي سرشتي جي ڪنھن حصي جو متبادل رستو اختيار ڪجي. شريانون، اٿِيرو اسڪليروسس (atherosclerosis) سبب ٻنججي يا سوڙھيون ٿي سگهن ٿيون. اھڙي ٻنج جي متبادل طور جسم جي ڪنھن حصي جي صحتمند شريان يا نس جا ڪي ٽڪرا يا مصنوعي نليون استعمال ڪري سگهجن ٿيون. نسن جي گهڻي ڀاڱي بائپاس انھن مريضن جي ڪجي ٿي جن کي جيري جي بيماريءَ سبب پورٽل ھائپرٽينشن (portal hypertension) ۽ بِليڊنگ ايسوفيجيل ويريسز (bleeding oesophageal varices) ٿي پوي ٿي. ھن قسم جي بائپاس کي شنٽ (shunt) سڏجي ٿو. عام طور تي آنڊي جي بائپاس انھن مريضن جي ڪجي ٿي جن جي ڪينسر ھجڻ سبب ڳوڙھو ڪڍي نٿو سگهجي. ڪنھن ٻنجيل پتي جي نليءَ جي بائپاس لاءِ ھاضمي جي ناليءَ ۾ نئون منھن پيدا ڪجي ٿو (وڌيڪ ڏسو، coronary artery bypass).
