تشخيص ڪرڻ جو ھڪ اھڙو طريقو جنھن ۾ ان جي ڪشن رستي ۽ الٽراسائونڊ اسڪيننگ جي مدد سان، ڳڀيرڻ ۾ موجود ٻچي جي چوگرد واري امنياٽڪ پوش (amniotic sac) مان امنياٽڪ پاڻيٺ (amniotic fluid) ذري ڪڍي وڃي ٿي. جيئن ته ان پاڻيٺ ۾ ابھم جا سيل ٿين ٿا ان سبب منجهن موجود ڪروموسومن جي ڇنڊڇاڻ ڪري، ڪروموسومي نقصن جھڙوڪ: ڊائونس سن.ڊروم (Down’s syndrome) يا جينياتي جاچ رستي ھيموفيليا (haemophilia)، سسٽڪ فائبروسس (cystic fibrosis) ۽ ٽي ـ سئچس (Tay-Sachs) جھڙين جينياتي بيمارين جي ڄاڻ رکي سگهجي ٿي. امنياٽڪ پاڻيٺ جي ڪيميائي ڇنڊڇاڻ رستي اوسري نقصن جھڙوڪ اسپينا بفيڊا (spina bifida) جي به خبر رکي سگهجي ٿي ته ٻچي جي ريسِس انڪامپيٽيبلٽي (Rhesus incompatibility) ۽ سندس ڦڦڙن جي واڌ به جاچي سگهجي ٿي.
