اي سي ٽي ايڇ
adrenocorticotrophic hormone جو مخفف (corticotrophin به سڏجي). اي سي ٽي ايڇ، مھاڙين پٽيوئيٽري (pituitary) غدود مان پيدا ٿي اَڊرينل ڪورٽيڪس (adrenal glands، اَڊرينل غدودن جي ٻاھرين تھه) کي متحرڪ ڪري مختلف ڪورٽيڪوسٽيروائڊ (corticosteroid) ھارمون، جن ۾ گهڻو اھم ھائڊروڪارٽيسون (hydrocortisone/cortisol) سميت الڊواسٽيرون (aldosterone) ۽ اينڊروجن (androgen) ھارمون به ٿين خارج ڪرائي ٿو. اي سي ٽي ايڇ جي پيداوار تي ٻنھي ھائپوٿيلامس (hypothalamus) ۽ رت ۾ موجود ھائڊروڪارٽيسون جي سطح جي موٽ/ فيڊبيڪ رستي ضابطو ٿئي ٿو. ذھني دٻاءَ، جذبات، ضرب، روڳ، سڙڻ، جراحيءَ ۽ بِلڊ پريشر ۾ لاٿ جي موٽ ۾ اي سي ٽي ايڇ جي سطح وڌي وڃي ٿي. پٽيوئيٽري غدود جي ڳوڙھي (tumour) سبب اي سي ٽي ايڇ جي پيداوار حد کان وڌيڪ ٿي وڃڻ سان اَڊرينل ڪورٽيڪس ھائڊروڪارٽيسون جي پيداور حد کان وڌائي نتيجي ۾ ڪُشنگس سنڊروم (Cushing’s syndrome) پيدا ڪري ٿو. جڏھن ته اي سي ٽي ايڇ جي اڻپوريءَ پيداوار سبب بِلڊ پريشر گهٽجي وڃي ٿو.
