هي هڪ قسم جو قيد خانو ٿيندو آهي، جنهن ۾ گهڻو ڪري لوڙهي اندر ڪيئي جايون هونديون آهن. هن قسم جي چوديواريءَ ۾ سياسي قيدي تمام بڇڙين حالتن ۾ رکيا ويندا آهن. هي لفظ پهريون دفعو ڏکڻ آفريقا ۾ هلندڙ بوئرجنگ (1899 کان 1902ع ) دوران استعمال ڪيو ويو. جڏهن انگريزن ڊچ نسل جي بوئرن کي ۽ سنڌ ۾ حُرن کي انهيءَ قسم جي واڙن ۾ بند رکيو. جرمنيءَ ۾ هٽلر جي نازي حڪومت سياسي مخالفن ۽ يهودين کي به ان قسم جي قيدي واڙن ۾ ڳاهٽ ڪري ايذاءُ ڏنا. دنيا ۾ اڄ به رجعت پسند حڪمران ۽ آمر پنهنجن مخالفن کي آمريت جي مخالفت بند ڪرائڻ، ڏوهه باسرائڻ يا سياست تان هٿ کڻائڻ لاءِ اهڙن هنڌن تي بند ڪري رکندا آهن، جتي قيدين مٿان ايذاءَ جا نت نوان اوزار ۽ طريقا استعمال ڪيا ويندا آهن. دنيا ۾ موجود ڳجها ادارا هن ڏس ۾ ڪافي بدنام سمجهيا وڃن ٿا.
