ارڙهين صدي عيسوي جي اوائلي اڌ ۾فرانسيسي ادب تي جذباتيت جو رنگ چٽو نظر اچي ٿو. نامياري فلاسافر ۽ اديب ووونارگ Vauvenargues (1747-1715ع) کي جذباتيت جو باني سمجهيو وڃي ٿو، جنهن پنهنجي لکڻين ۾ زندگيءَ جي ٻين مسئلن جي لکڻ جو سلسلو شروع ڪيو ۽ انساني احساسن جي ترجماني ڪرڻ جي ڪوشش ڪئي. جذباتيت جي اثر هيٺ سرجيل ادب ۾ فرانسيسي ناول کي زياده شهرت ۽ اهميت حاصل ٿي ۽ فرانس جي ’جذباتي ناول نگاري‘، بين الاقوامي ادب ۾ هڪ خاص جاءِ والاري ٿي.جن فرانسيسي ناول نگارن کي جذبات جي حوالي سان نمائنده ناول نگار مڃيو ويو آهي، انهن ۾ ماري وو Marivaux (1628-1663ع) ۽ پريووسٽ Prevost (1697-1763ع) جا نالا نمايان آهن. فرانسيسي ادب جون ٻيون صنفون جذباتيت جي حوالي سان ڪا ذڪر جوڳي حيثيت نه ٿيون رکن ۽ نه ئي انهن کي بين الاقوامي سطح تي ڪا چڱي موچاري مڃتا ملي سگهي آهي.
