هي هڪ نظريو آهي جنهن موجب زندگيءَ ۾ اهڙن مقصدن جي حصول لاءِ ڪوشش ڪجي، جن سان انسانيت جي ڀلائي ۽ فلاح ٿئي. 21 صديءَ کان هي نظريو تمام تيزيءَ سان وڌي رهيو آهي. ادبي حوالي سان آفاقيت جي معنيٰ آهي ته ڪنهن اديب يا ادبي فنپاري جي اها خوبي، جيڪا هر دؤر ۽ هر ملڪ جي ماڻهن کي متاثر ۽ محظوظ ڪرڻ جي صلاحيت رکي. زمان ۽ مڪان جي قيد کان آزاد فن يا فنڪار آفاقي هوندو آهي. جيئن: شاهه لطيف آفاقي شاعر آهي ۽ ’شاهه جو رسالو‘ آفاقي شاعريءَ جو ڪتاب آهي. اهڙيءَ ريت شيڪسپيئر جا ڊراما، سعديءَ جو ”گلستان“ ۽ ”بوستان“، ڪاليداس جو ”شڪنتلا“ وغيره جيڪي ڪنهن خاص هنڌ ۽ دؤر ۾ چيا يا لکيا ويا مگر دنيا جي هر خطي لاءِ انهن جي فني ۽ فڪري افاديت هڪجهڙي آهي. اهي آفاقي لکڻيون هونديون آهن.
