ڪنٺ مالها، واڙُل، گهٽ، کَگهه، ٿائروائڊ غدود (thyroid gland) جو وڌيل ھجڻ جيڪو ڳچيءَ تي ھڪ سوڄ جيان ڏسڻ ۾ اچي ٿو. ٿائروائڊ غدود بلوغت وقت يا حمل دوران وڌي سگهي ٿو (پنھنجي ڪم ۾ خلل پيدا ڪرڻ بنا). دنيا جي ڪيترن حصن ۾ ڪنٺ مالها ٿيڻ جو مکيو ڪارڻ غذا ۾ آيوڊين (iodine) جي کوٽ ٿئي ٿي. جڏھن ٽاڪسِڪ گوائٽر (toxic goiter) واري حالت پيدا ٿئي ٿي ته اھا گريوسز ڊزيز (Graves’ disease) ۽ ھائپرٿائروائڊزم (hyperthyroidism) جي ٻين قسمن ۾ تبديل ٿي ٿائِروٽاڪسيڪوسس (thyrotoxicosis) ۾ مٽجي وڃي ٿي. ڪنٺ مالها مختلف قسمن جي ٿائِروائڊِيٽس (thyroiditis) جي به نشاني ٿئي ٿي. ان جي ٻين ڪارڻن ۾ ٿائروائڊ غدود ۾ ڪنھن ڳوڙھيءَ يا غدود جو پيدا ٿيڻ به ٿي سگهي ٿو ته ورلي ٿائروائڊ جي ڪينسر (thyroid cancer) به ٿئي ٿي. ڪنٺ مالها سائيز ۾ ننڍڙي مشڪل سان نظر ايندڙ ڳوڙھيءَ کانوٺي ھڪ وڏي ڳوڙھي تائين به ٿي سگهي ٿي جنھن جو وڌيڪ مدار ان جي ڪارڻ تي ٿئي ٿو. وڏا ڳوڙھا لڪيءَ (oesophagus) يا نڙگهٽ (trachea) تي دٻاءُ وجهي ڳھڻ يا ساه کڻڻ ۾ تڪليف پيدا ڪري سگهن ٿا.
