ھڏو، ھڏائين پڃري (skeleton) جو ھڪ اھڙو بناوتي مادو جيڪو مشڪن کي سگهارو ڍانچو مھيا ڪري ٿو ته جسم جي ڪن عضون جو به بچاءُ ڪري ٿو. ھڏي جا ڪيترا تھه ٿين ٿا: انھن مان ٻاھرين سنھڙي تھه پيريئواسٽييم (periosteum) ۾ رت نليون ۽ تنتون ٿين ٿيون ۽ اندرين نھري کوليءَ (compact or cortical) ڪيترن ھڏاون سيلن جي ڪالِمن (osteoclasts and osteoblasts) جن مان ھر ھڪ مرڪزي ڍانڍي ناليءَ (haversian canal) جيڪا ھڏي جي غذا، واڌ ۽ مرمت لاءِ اھم ٿئي ٿي ۽ ھڪ مرڪزي ڄاريءَ جھڙيءَ بناوت (جنھن کي اسفنجي، ڪينسيليس يا ٽريبيڪيولر ھڏو (spongy, cancellous, or trabecular bone) ھڏو سڏجي ٿئي ٿي. ڪن ھڏن جي مرڪزي خاني ۽ اسفنجي ھڏن جي وٿين ۾ ھڏي جو گودو (bone marrow) ٿئي ٿو.
