مها ڀارت دراصل هندن جي هڪ ڌرمي ڪتاب جو نالو آهي، هن ڪتاب ۾ ٻه لک پندره هزار شعر آهن. هندن وٽ ان ڪتاب جو مصنف (دياس جي) آهي مها ڀارت در اصل هڪ جنگ جو نالو آهي جنهن جو زمانو 600 ق م ٻڌايو وڃي ٿو، اهو مشهور آهي ته (دياس جي) ان جنگ جو پنهنجي اکين ڏٺو حال پنهنجي ڪتاب ۾ تحرير ڪيو آهي جنهن سان ان جي اهميت اجاڳر ٿئي ٿي.اصل ۾ هي جنگ نيشاپور جي ٻن خاندانن ۾ ٿي هئي ۽ پورا 18 ڏينهن جاري رهي، مها ڀارت ۾ ان جنگ جي تذڪري سان گڏ تصوف جا تصورات ۽ ٻيون به گهڻيون افسانوي ڳالهيون لکيل آهن موجوده مذهب جي بنياد اها ئي ڪتاب آهي، پر ان جا به ڪيئي نسخا آهن، مسٽر گونداس جي مطابق ان جي هر نسخي ۾ بي انتها اختلاف موجود آهي.مھاڀارت جو سنڌي ۾ ترجمو ڏھين صدي ۾ ٿيو .خيال آهي ته هي ترجما ديوناگري رسم الخط ۾ ڪيا ويا هوندا.
